Range Creek: Deemed “The Secret Canyon,” Range Creek was hidden from the public for hundreds of years. Range Creek was home to a large number of Fremont Indians who mysteriously disappeared some 800 years ago. The ranch is now owned by the State of Utah and managed by the Division of Wildlife Resources. Come with us to see this untouched treasure.

9-Mile Canyon: Join us for a tour of the “Longest Art Gallery in the World.” There are literally hundreds of rock art panels left by Ancient Indians, Fremont Indians, and even more recently by Ute Indians. We do tours in the Spring and Fall. We will also do tours for individuals or groups.

Full Weekend Tour- View Range Creek & 9-Mile Together: This is a real treasure of a tour! We offer a full Saturday and Sunday of rock art for the die hard Native American art and history buffs! You'll stay overnight at the five star Tavaputs Ranch on Saturday, underneath clear skies for viewing the stars the way they must have looked to the Fremont Indians. Come join us for an exceptional, and unforgettable weekend!

San Rafael Swell: The San Rafael Swell is a huge tract of land in Eastern Utah. The beauty of this area rivals any of the state’s National Parks. It’s canyons are world famous. We do canoe trips, canyoneering trips, auto tours, and even river trips on the San Rafael River through the Little Grand Canyon.

Rock Art Tour: The Rock Art Tour is unique to Carbon County Recreation in that we visit more places than anyone else over a four day period to see the beautiful San Rafael Swell, 9-Mile Canyon, and Range Creek. The tour includes gourmet lunches, beautiful hiking, qualified guides/interpreters, and the experience of a lifetime!
A Special Discounted Rate of $195 is Being Offered if Registration is Received Before September 1st, 2008.

Spring Canyon Historical Tour: Spring Canyon is a local gem located outside of Helper, Utah. Awash with a rich history and a culture eclectically unique to the entire state, Spring Canyon Tour is a history buffs' dream! There were brothels, gambling houses, and at one time 21 ethnic bars on Helper's Main Street! Visit coal camp ruins and hear stories of the diverse people who moved here in the 19th Century to work in the coal mines and operate the railroads. Come discover Southeast Utah's Mining History that helped shape Carbon County as you see it today!
